I believe design is a cultural practice. It has the power to shape how we relate to one another, how stories are told, and what kinds of futures we imagine. My work is informed by an ongoing interest in materiality, care, and the relationship between culture and the environments we inhabit. I’m particularly interested in exploring more conscious ways of making.
My clients and collaborators have included Coca-Cola, MoMA, Natura, Havaianas, Pratt Institute, Nubank, Nike, and the University of São Paulo, as well as Wieden+Kennedy, AlmapBBDO, AKQA, Galeria.ag, Tátil, Wunderman Thompson, and David. My work has been recognized with a Cannes Lions Gold, Clio Awards, Latin American Design Awards, and Brasil Design Award.
I’m deeply drawn to printed matter - to paper, ink, type, texture, scale, and the particular magic of an idea becoming something you can hold. Craft is an important part of my process. For me, making is a way of thinking through the work. I’m also particularly drawn to projects rooted in real-world questions - work where design can become a tool for understanding, imagining, and engaging with the world around us. I love when a project has a tangible purpose and exists beyond aesthetics.
Alongside my commercial practice, I love experimenting with materials, techniques, and different forms of making, moving between graphic design, bookmaking, sculpture, ceramics, paintings and other hands-on practices. I also founded Satélite Books, an independent publishing platform dedicated to artist books and experimental editorial projects. My personal work has been exhibited and presented at MAM São Paulo, the São Paulo Biennial Pavilion, the Goethe-Institut, Anita Schwartz galery (Rio), Printed Matter (NY), and the Jersey Art Book Fair.
I’m currently based in Los Angeles and work across commercial, cultural, and self-initiated projects.
